In this guide, I will demonstrate how to apply the Price Band feature. This was a popular request from clients, and we are glad to have implemented it. The process consists of three steps.
In this example, I will set up an event that sells tickets at £8 on weekdays and £10 on weekends. To keep things simple, there will only be an adult ticket, which will adapt its price depending on the selected date.
Step One - Name the price band.
To begin, ensure that you are logged into the online admin area.
First, we need to give the Price Band a name so it can be selected in the settings. Using the left-hand menu, select the ‘Config’ tab. This will open your main settings panel. Then, select the Price Band edit button.
This will open the ‘Bands’ window, which shows a list of your current Price Band names that have been created. To add a new Price Band, click the ‘+Add’ button. This will open a text field where you can add a name for your Price Band. For this example, I will add ‘weekday’. Remember to click the ‘Save’ button.
Step Two - Select Your Ticket
In this step, I will choose which ticket to attach to a Price Band. In my event, I have selected the ticket labelled ‘Adult’, which was originally set up at a price of £10. I want to lower the price to £8 on weekdays.
Scroll to the bottom and click the ‘+Add’ button in the Price Band section, in the Edit ticket window.
Using the drop-down arrow, select the correct name of the Price Band you wish to use. For this demo, it is called ‘weekday’. I have set the price to £8 and then saved my Price Band.
I have now applied the weekday Price Band to the adult ticket. If done correctly, you will see it listed in the Price Band table.
Step Three - Adding the Session for Weekdays
Now, go back to the event you are working on and select the session area. When I first set up the event, I added days from 01/01/25 to 14/08/25.
First, I am going to edit this session to only include Saturday and Sunday. This will show the £10 ticket on those days, i.e., weekends.
Next, I will create a new session for the weekdays.
Here is what my new session looks like. Note that I have only selected the weekdays. In the Price Band field, using the drop-down arrow, I have selected the ‘weekday’ Price Band.
Remember to click the ‘Save’ button.
Here is what my session table looks like now.
Lastly, let’s inspect the ticket just to make sure I have completed the Price Band settings correctly.
Friday priced at £8, which is correct
Saturday priced at £10, which is correct.
